My name is Pam Smith. I’m a semi-stay-at-home-mom who suffers from depression and low self-esteem. Any misguided confidence I portray on this blog comes purely from the fact that I can’t see you, and you can’t see me.

I have two boys, Sam (almost 4) and CJ (8), and am married to my husband, Chris. We eat Weight Watchers meals for dinner, snuggle on the monster of a sectional I bought and watch movies together, and prefer staying home to venturing out into the unknown. We have a lot of fun together, actually.

I’m a nurse, and currently work part-time, a few days a week. We hired a nanny to watch the kids while I’m gone. Also, I’m in grad school for my Master’s of Science in Nursing with a focus on education. One day, I would really like to teach.

My favorite pastimes include: rootling around in a basket of clean laundry looking for a pair of matching socks while running late for school pickup, overdressing for occasions I should probably be underdressing for, and trying to fit into the jeans I wore before I had kids. I also really love interior design, and am obsessed with HGTV (although, we got rid of cable to save money, so now I just binge-watch Fixer Upper and Property Brothers over and over again).

I’ve had some form of a blog since 2002, when Live Journal was still a thing and Blogger was just becoming cool. PAMMIE has been through a lot of platforms and redesigns, but hopefully now it’ll be around for a while. I’m too old to remember everything that happens to me and I love writing too much to ever truly let it go.
